I am a UX/UI Designer with over 15 years of experience in digital design, specifically focused on web and software (SaaS), where I have worked on projects for small and big organisations, understanding their needs and the needs of their users to create effective solutions that fulfill their goals.
Over the years my passion for design has taken me through a wide variety of professional experiences as I started as a self taught web designer and coder at a young age; moved by curiosity about how far we can push technology, I designed my first website in 2001 and won several awards with it. Later on, I studied at Universidad de Chile, where I graduated as a Graphic Designer in 2009.
Professionally I have worked on digital projects for a diverse range of clients, from a small startup to the biggest copper producer in the world, Codelco, along with TV stations, museums, events, festivals, etc. in Chile, Australia and New Zealand.
I have directed and designed projects that involved working along with other professionals like front and back end developers, journalists, historians, engineers, marketing specialists, UX researchers, animators and illustrators, among many others.
I think of myself as a creative person, curious and motivated by new challenges; I am always trying to be empathetic with the user and I do my best to provide smooth and intuitive experiences on the digital products I am involved in. By using research methods like testing, interviewing, or defining personas, my goal is to get as close as possible to users in order to design from that deep understanding of their problems, then the design comes together in an easier, more effective way.
