Year: 2016
Role: UX/UI, Information Architecture, Brand Communication.
I partnered with the communications agency Sangre to develop the redesign of Codelco’s corporate website. The challenge was to create a modern experience and a renewed brand communication for this state-owned company.
The goal of this website redesign was to make it their main platform to report initiatives, results, and corporate information. The company’s profits represent one of the most important incomes of Chile, and therefore, the information about its performance is of great interest for the whole country.
An important part of the project was about designing a coherent information architecture that aligned with the knowledge we had about users, data coming especially through analytics of the previous site gave us an insight into who they were and what were they looking for.
The new design considered a new navigation system that reflected the new approach on information architecture and allowed all the different sections to be clearly displayed, the UX was improved from the original website to a more intuitive and coherent presentation of their corporate content.
Designing a renewed use of the Codelco Brand was also part of the project, I worked with Codelco’s design team to align its very recognizable identity with the new vision for the company’s communication. The new styles were then applied to all further corporate communication material.
